Our June Spotlight is Connor Audycki, Senior Business Development at Cybba.
If you look up the word “dedication” in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of Connor. He always comes to work caffeinated and committed to customer success and he’s got the track record to prove it. You'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier guy!
How long have you been in this position?
1 month. I was recently promoted to senior business development after having been a BDR at Cybba for about a year.
What job did you want to have you were a kid?
I wanted to be a Cop because the tv show “Law and Order” was a big part of my childhood.
Describe the path that brought you to Cybba.
I had been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and then moved back out to the east coast from Seattle to start a new career. I always had an interest in technology and Cybba gave me the opportunity to learn and succeed in the industry.
What do you enjoy the most about your role?
I love meeting new people and finding a solution to their headaches so that their online business can prosper.
Run us through a typical day in the Cybba office for you.
I always need that morning Cup of Joe to get the wheels turning. Then, I search for a unique value proposition for my prospective customers to help them succeed. After identifying a brand as a good fit to work with us, my next step is to develop the messaging to illustrate how Cybba is different and superior to other solutions.
What is your best productivity tip for getting it all done?
Set a schedule based on each day of the week and stick to it! I always make sure to write down my goals before I leave work in the evening to make sure I get it all done the next day!
What are your favorite brand(s) and why?
I love travel brands! I like to travel, so studying different travel brands gives me ideas for my next vacation.
What’s the best (non-Cybba) marketing campaign you’ve seen?
I’m obsessed with the Geico “Clogging Problem” campaign because it is unique and memorable. I can only imagine have a clogging family living above me! It is such a creative idea for homeowner’s insurance and keeps Geico top of mind.
What is your favorite place in Boston?
I’m a huge fan of the Reel House in East Boston and the oceanfront views. Eating on the back patio with a Boston sunset is hard to beat.
What are 3 things you can’t live without?
1. Thursday night Men’s League Hockey
2. A fresh brewed cup of coffee in the morning
3. Making the trip back to Seattle every year to see my family
What has been your proudest moment/ favorite project at Cybba?
Working with OLS Hotels has been my favorite project so far. We’re helping a hotel group stand out while the entire travel industry is having trouble with COVID, which is very challenging but very rewarding.
If you weren’t working in digital marketing, what would you be doing?
I would probably still be working in the auto industry.
If you could switch your job with anyone at Cybba, whose job would you want?
I would love to switch jobs with Christine Atturio for a day to learn more about what tactics/methods go into creating custom designs for our clients. I respect the work that our design team does and would love to learn more about their approach.
