We are spotlighting Ashley O'Brien, former AdOps pro turned Account Manager. Read on to learn about her journey at Cybba.
How long have you been in this position?
I’ve been with Cybba for a little over a year and a half.
How did you start at Cybba and what made you want to join?
I was interested in moving into the digital marketing space. I previously worked in print media and it was a completely different world. Cybba works with many impressive brands and has such a wide range of products, so I knew I would learn and grow a lot with this company.
What tips would you give someone entering the advertising industry?
I think it’s critical to stay organized. There are a lot of moving pieces in this role and you communicate with multiple teams internally and externally to get things done!
What do you enjoy the most about your role?
I recently moved to the Account Management team from our AdOps team because I wanted a more client facing role. I really enjoy building relationships and helping people achieve their goals. AdOps is a little more behind-the-scenes, so now I can assist with recommendations from a different perspective!
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I love spontaneous, adventurous activities. A couple of years ago I went paragliding in Switzerland. I had no intention of running off a mountain with a stranger during my trip, but it was amazing!

What is your favorite place in Boston?
Definitely the North End! They have the best restaurants in Boston and you are right near the waterfront. I love wandering around that neighborhood.
What are you currently binge-watching?
I am currently watching Blacklist. I am always watching some type of crime-thriller, with the occasional episode of Gilmore Girls for balance.
How has Cybba helped in your career development?
Cybba has really allowed me to customize my career path. I have been given the opportunity to play a role in multiple pieces of the company, which definitely keeps me busy, but also helps me stay up to speed on everything happening in both the company and our industry as a whole. I am very grateful for the flexibility and opportunities Cybba has provided to me over the last year and a half!
What do you find the most challenging at Cybba?
We work in an industry that is always changing and evolving. There is always a new challenge to solve or something to learn. This business is very competitive and we are always looking for new ways to stand out and provide additional value to our customers.

Our developers- I’d love to grasp half of what they do. They’re awesome!
