How long have you been in this position?

I have been in this position since February of 2013, so coming up to 6 years soon.

How did you start at Cybba and what made you want to join?

I first joined as an intern in 2013 and was quickly hired full time as a technical analyst. At the time the group that has become Cybba was starting to gain momentum within the Marketing Tech industry and I saw a lot of potential in what we were doing.

What tips would you give to someone working with their development team in the industry?

I would say it’s very important to maintain a positive relationship with the team that creates and implements your products. Usually senior members of the team have been working in the industry for a while. They can be invaluable when trying to understand functionality and how you can apply your products to meet client needs and requests.

What do you enjoy the most about your career?

I really enjoy the team that I have the privilege of working with. Every member of the team is encouraged to research and provide input for future developments.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I am related to John Muir who is known as the Father of the National Parks and was an early advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the United States.

What brands/companies do you personally admire?

I have always been a fan of brands in the music industry. I personally own 7 guitars, 1 bass, 1 mandolin, 1 sticker dulcimer, 5 harmonicas, a couple Amps and a drum kit. These are from a wide range of brands which include: Gibson, Fender, Maybell, Pearl, Schecter, Hohner, Rickenbacker, Gretsch, etc.

What is your favorite place in Boston?

TD Garden, Go Bruins!

What are you currently binge-watching?

Shameless season 8, but more so binge listening to the Dark Tower series by Stephen King

How has Cybba helped in your career development?

Cybba has given me the opportunity to take part in a fast moving and frequently changing environment. I have taken part in many client calls, client meetings and partnership integrations. It has helped me improve my communication skills and public speaking.

What do you find the most challenging at Cybba?

Things move fast, and you may find yourself working on completely different projects from day to day. We always have something interesting coming to us, whether it is an edge case bug or a completely new product.

What is your proudest moment at Cybba?

When forming Cybba, the tech team stepped up and onboarded all our customers under a very short time frame. I was very impressed by the Tech team’s contributions that made the change possible.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Cybba, whose job would you want?

I would give a try as a Graphic Designer. I have a background as an illustrator and handled graphic design/branding when working as a freelance Web Designer/Developer.
