Employee Spotlight: Tracy Tammaro

Every person at Cybba plays a key role in our success. Now in the Employee Spotlight is Tracy Tammaro. Read about her journey at Cybba, and her insights on what has contributed to her success as Director of Sales.

How long have you been in this position?

I am close to my 7th anniversary with this company but I recently started my position as Director of Sales last November.

How did you start at Cybba and what made you want to join?

I started over 6 years ago and was not planning to take the role until I spoke with Greg and Stephen, our two founders. After hearing the passion they had for this company, I knew that I wanted to be a part of it.

What tips would you give a new sales person entering the tech industry?

I would say to research the industry and find something that is compelling for you. It’s hard to sell something if you aren’t personally interested in it.

What do you enjoy the most about your career?

I like the work/life balance and the opportunity for growth at Cybba.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I love baking. I think some people know this but if I’ve had a bad day, I will go home and bake something that I can share with others. It always cheers me up.

What brands/companies do you personally admire?

I like companies that give something back. I am a huge animal lover, so companies like Ivory Ella and 4Ocean are awesome in my book!

What is your favorite place in Boston?

I love the secret rose garden near Fenway. It’s a great hidden gem in the city if you can find it!

What are you currently binge-watching?

I am currently bingeing on Safe on Netflix.

How has Cybba helped in your career development?

Cybba has given me the opportunity to learn about the ad industry which was something I had very little knowledge about previously. While I still have a lot to learn, it is nice to realize how far I have come.

What do you find the most challenging at Cybba?

Cybba is not a stagnant company. We are constantly changing and growing as a company to keep up with new industry trends and how we are going to face them as a team. It’s always changing, but it is an exciting challenge.

What is your proudest moment at Cybba?

My proudest moment took place a few years ago. I have always loved learning which drove me to devote some time learning every aspect of our company to help both myself and my sales team. My former Director of Sales and a Sales manager from a different team had given their recommendations that I become a manager of my own team. I was proud that 2 people I respected had seen the hard work I was putting in and wanted to reward my efforts.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Cybba, whose job would you want?

I love the work of the media trading team. They are under the hood for our largest campaigns to get them to perform and hit client goals every day.
