Every person at Cybba plays a key role in our success. Now in the Employee Spotlight is Chelsea Klement-Nisbet. Read about her journey at Cybba, and her insights on what has contributed to her success as one of our Senior Account Managers.
How long have you been in this position?
Just about a year and a half ago. I started at Cybba in April 2017.
How did you start at Cybba and what made you want to join?
Casee Laznick, who leads our recruiting efforts, reached out my way via LinkedIn. After doing research on the company, I was open to setting up a discovery call, and talk through the role, opportunity and career path. The combination of MarTech and AdTech offered by Cybba intrigued me!
What tips would you give an account manager entering the industry?
As an account manager, your goal is to perform and deliver campaign success for a client. It’s important to always keep the client in the center! The digital world is constantly changing so it’s important to stay on top of digital trends and what your competition is offering.
What do you enjoy the most about your career?
Building relationships and trust with my clients. Each client is entirely different, and it’s nice to have such a unique client base, all with different goals and expectations on campaign success.
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I am married to a Boston native who is truly obsessed with New England sports. Last Christmas Eve we headed to Gillette Stadium to cheer on the Pats in the freezing cold! Not sure how I survived in the below 0 degrees weather during the game.
What brands/companies do you personally admire?
Amazon- big advocate of Amazon Prime too. Innovative, great customer service and awesome user experience for on the go shopping! I always check Amazon before making a purchase in store, or on other sites.
What is your favorite place in Boston? I am obsessed with buffalo wings, and Whiskey’s Bar & Grill near Beacon Street has some of the best! I also enjoy a good Sox game at Fenway.
What are you currently binge-watching?
The Office – over and over again!
How has Cybba helped in your career development?
In a startup environment, you learn a load of skills you wouldn’t get in a more corporate setting. The power of networking, taking ownership of to-do’s and processes, adapting to change (quickly), and being innovative are a few things I’ve picked up in different scenarios here at Cybba.
What do you find the most challenging at Cybba?
Working at a startup like Cybba, we face the challenge of constantly looking for new strategies for our clients that drive return on investment and value month over month. The digital/advertising industry is oversaturated and very competitive, and there is always the “what if” that clients will explore other marketing avenues. Being innovative, and experimenting with different strategies that are outside the box will set you apart.
What is your proudest moment at Cybba?
One of my referenceable clients introduced me to a contact they met at a recent health conference in San Francisco. After a discovery call, sales pitch, and media plan meeting, the CEO & founder of Siren Snacks signed a full funnel IO for display, onsite engagement, promo bar, and paid social (Facebook/Instagram) headed into Q4. That’s the power of network!
